From direction of The Hague/Rotterdam, A4
Take the A5 and A9 to Amsterdamseweg / N202 in Velsen-Zuid. Take the exit ‘IJmuiden’ at junction Velsen from the A9. Take the Parkweg and then the De Noostraat up to the city hall.
From direction of Alkmaar, A9
Take the A9 towards Amsterdam. Take the A22 towards IJmuiden. After the Velsertunnel, take the exit to IJmuiden. Continue to IJmuiden via the A22/N202 connection. Take the Parkweg and then the De Noostraat up to the city hall.
From direction of Utrecht, A22
Take the A2 and the A9 to the Amsterdamseweg / N202. Take the exit ‘IJmuiden’ at junction Velsen from the A9. Take the Parkweg and then the De Noostraat up to the city hall.

If you decide to come by car, there are sufficient parking spaces near the starting area on Saturdays. To name a few:

Cyclists from the direction of Haarlem/Santpoort/Driehuis ride fastest via the Waterloolaan, Zeeweg.
Cyclists from the direction of Velsen-Noord and Beverwijk cycle from the ferry in a westerly direction via Pontplein, De Noostraat.
There is space around the Plein 1945 square to park your bicycle.
