For the first time this year, a special moment of remembrance will be held during the 10th edition of the Vissenloop in IJmuiden on May 31, 2026.
During the walk, we will light candles together. You can order these candles for €3.50 each. This way, you can light a candle for someone you miss so much, or for someone who supports you. Or perhaps you want to let them know how proud you are of them and/or are thinking of them? Basically, any text you come up with is fine.

How does it work on the day itself?
On May 31, you can pick up your candle at our stall at Plein 40-45. There, you will receive a self-adhesive wrapper on which you can write your personal text on the spot. Just before the cheque presentation (around 15:45 at the stage on Plein 40-45), we will all gather by the candles to sing the song “Samen Zijn,” accompanied by the band Full Count. Afterwards, you can take the candle home or give it as a gift to the person you support.
The entire proceeds will benefit the KWF.
